by gIANT BECHTEL OVERSEAS supplying C303 3% AFFF FOAM CONCENTRATE FOR EGYPT'S BOOT SIDI KRIR 3&4 PROJECT

Egyptian Minister of Electricity Maher Abaza
today announced that a consortium comprised of InterGen, First
Arabian Development & Investment Company S.A.E, and Kato
Investment S.A.E has been awarded a contract for the 2 x 325
megawatt Sidi Krir project. The natural gas facility, awarded by
the Egyptian Electricity Authority (EEA), is Egypt's first
build, own, operate, and transfer (BOOT) facility. The power
station is located at Sidi Krir- North Coast Location near
Alexandria.
The Intergen Company:
Founded in 1995, InterGen is an international power and related
asset development and management company. The company has four
power stations totaling 2,145 MW and a 700 km natural gas
pipeline under construction in the United Kingdom, Mexico,
Colombia and the Philippines. The Sidi Krir award extends
InterGen's growing presence in the Mediterranean region where,
on October 20, 1997 InterGen was awarded the right to build
three power stations in Turkey totaling 3,500 MW. InterGen is
jointly owned by Bechtel Enterprises, Inc. and Shell
International Gas Ltd.
The Order:
ISS provided its newest manufacturing services to protect the
huge investment. EGY-C303 3% AFFF foam was chosen by INTERGEN to
be utilized at site. With its unmatched fire-fighting features
and availability at ISS's manufacturing facilities, the
concentrate shall be utilized at site filling the existing
bladder tanks. The engineered product provides UL-Grade
fire-fighting capabilities with environmental aspects in mind.
The concentrate is used to protect the existing Mazot Tanks.
