SmartView™: Graphic Fire Alarm Monitoring Software and Hardware System (Datasheet)

Installed on a personal computer using Windows 2000/XP Professional operating system, SmartView’s dynamic graphic interface provides authorized users complete view and control over your fire alarm system from a single PC workstation. SmartView™ presents real-time information by immediately displaying each alarm event on the PC screen. Building floor plans can be incorporated into SmartView™ and overlaid with icons representing key components of the fire alarm system. During an alarm event, SmartView™ shows vital point-specific information and the alarm’s exact location on the floor plan. Critical event information can be broadcast automatically to pagers or emailed via an optional Internet connection. All events and user actions are logged for creating user selected custom reports.

Building control features such as access control, intrusion alarms, CCTV monitoring, and ambient environmental monitoring can be added to SmartView™, making your PC the control center for the building’s entire network. Or SmartView™ may simply be used as a monitoring tool.

The standard SmartView™ package includes a network communications controller, a power supply, and software. Options are available for either a wire or fiber optic connection between the PC and the net controller. Multiple workstation versions of the software can be purchased for installing SmartView™ on any number of PCs. Contact your Gamewell Sales Manager for more information on the power of SmartView™.

SmartLink Peer-to-Peer Fire Alarm Network (Datasheet)

The SmartLink Network provides a Peer - to- Peer interface that allows up to 250 fire alarm panels to be linked as a Network. Each fire alarm panel (Node) maintains its own program specific to its area of protection while communicating with the overall system. All events are displayed on all fire alarm control panel LCD annunciators and any point of annunciation can be programmed to be a point of control. This allows each panel to signal and control elements in its own area based on alarms and other conditions occurring in other panels.

The SmartLink Network and NFPA Class A Style 7 network cabling provides the greatest overall system reliability possible. If a panel or any other type of node becomes isolated from the network, the network will “heal” itself around the isolated node and continue to operate normally. Any isolated panel will revert to standalone operation with full local programming. The SmartLink system will also support Class B connections. No main polling computer is required.

Control by event programming allows selected groups of input devices to be logically arranged to selected groups of output devices or circuits in individual panels. In a SmartLink network, a panel in alarm broadcasts information that includes point, input group assignment and an event code. This single broadcast message is received simultaneously by all panels on the network. Using SmartLink, the network control by event function can be employed to tie events to output devices or circuits in panels other than just the panel of origin within the network.
